The power of social media

Meetings at @BNIWoking are often peppered with the odd joke, remark or round of applause, something zoom meetings can never completely replicate, despite optics on participants and Emoji options.

So it was noticeable that, despite this, members were keen to show their support for the work of Lucy Dean of @CanaryJamMedia on behalf of one of her client’s, a local car garage, in response to the #coronavirus crisis.

Initially struggling to make itself known in the local Woking area, Canary Jam put @WhiteleyAutos on the map by launching a social media ad campaign. Through the campaign and its compelling videos, the garage was able to offer free MOTs to all NHS workers, to help them keep their vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition.”

“To date, over 125,856 people have seen the advert, which resulted in 2,276 positive actions from potential customers, three new on-going relationships, 10 people sharing the advert with their friends, and over 43,817 people watched the videos of my clients at work,” said Lucy. “As a result of this, they are in talks with new clients, to repair their fleets of vehicles on an on-going basis.”
